FAQs

If you have an E-Time question that isn’t answered here, please contact the Employee Service Center via email or at 612-672-5050.

I’m missing a group of employees in my E-Time. How can I get access to them? You need to complete the Position Management process within Lawson to get them reporting to you. Then it will feed to E-Time and you will get access to their time cards.

I used to be able to see a specific employee’s time card within my E-Time and now I can’t. Do you know why? The employee now reports to a different manager within Lawson/E-Time/Kronos. The new manager will need to delegate their access to you within E-Time so you can get access to the time card again.

I’m going on vacation. How can I ensure my employees will still get paid? Employees can still get paid as long as you have “delegated” someone to approve their time (i.e. delegation of authority). Once a manager delegates timekeeping authority in e-Time, the designee must accept the delegation before s/he can complete tasks on behalf of that manager. See detailed steps here.

I need to make a correction to one of my employee’s time cards in a past pay period. How do I do this? Managers and Timekeepers can make historical edits (a change or addition to an employee’s time card after the pay period has passed). Step by Step instructions are provided on the Fairview Intranet for both exempt and non-exempt employees.

Do I have to record time for an employee out on a Leave of Absence (LOA)? During an LOA, the Absence Management team will take care of the employee’s E-Time unless an employee is out on intermittent leave. Then the manager is responsible for recording for their time. Please call the Employee Support Center at 612-672-5050, if you have any questions about LOA processing.

How do I float hours on a time card in E-Time? Instructions for floating hours to another department in E-Time can be found here.

I need to schedule a call shift for one of my employees. How do I do that? Instructions for scheduling call shifts can be found here.
