Four Steps to Getting Started at Fairview
- Complete the New Employee Welcome session on your first day.
- Talk to your manager. Ask them about your site, where you go for day number two, your department and/or role-specific orientation process. Nurses: Ask your manager about Nursing Core Orientation.
- Complete your mandatory education and corporate compliance training. This is the information our accrediting agencies identify as needing to be reviewed annually by all employees. We review this information not merely as a requirement, but as a basis for creating a culture of patient and employee safety. Modules have already been assigned to you and must be completed within 30 days. See the Mandatory Education & Employee Development tab below for details.
- Enroll in a retirement savings plan or benefits (if eligible). See the Benefits, Payroll and Perks tab below for details and complete within your first 31 days.
New Employee Resources
Password and Access Information
When getting set up, you’ll have to create passwords for access into different programs. Here is a high-level summary:
Synced Passwords:
- Intranet
- Epic
- Outlook
- Network Login
- eTime
- Lawson
- My Fairview Benefits website
Note: This password expires every 180 days – this resets all of the passwords above
Independent Passwords:
- LMS: First time password: “hello” expires every 365 days
- Jobs/Careers: Create on site, does not expire
- P-Card/Out of Pocket Expenses (if applicable): Create on site, expires every 90 days
Off-network Access Instructions: Multi-Factor Authentication
- Employees will need to be registered for multi-factor authentication (MFA) in order to access the intranet (intranet.fairview.org) when not on a Fairview network. Instructions for adding MFA and FAQs are located here.

Benefits, Payroll, and Perks
Benefits-Retirement
All employees are eligible to enroll in Retirement Savings Plans. Fidelity administers our 403(b) and 401(k) retirement plans, which allows you to set aside pre-tax dollars for retirement. Employees have 30 days to make their selections. Click the links below to find out more information or enroll.
